Hello! How can I assist you today? 😊
You
do you agree with me that this verse "All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him." has in a way directed and structured the art and discipline of PHOTOGRAPHY?

The verse you’ve quoted is from the book of Matthew 11:27 in the King James Version of the Bible. It states:
“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.”
This verse emphasizes a unique relationship between the Father and the Son, with the Son being the sole revealer of the Father’s nature. While it primarily pertains to spiritual matters, we can explore how it might relate to the art and discipline of photography.
Photography, like any other artistic discipline, involves interpretation, perspective, and revealing aspects of the world. Let’s consider how this verse might resonate with photography:
Revelation and Interpretation:
Just as the Son reveals the Father, photographers reveal their perspective through their images. Each photograph is an interpretation of reality, shaped by the photographer’s emotions, worldview, and artistic vision.
The act of capturing a scene involves selecting what to include and exclude, much like revealing specific aspects of the Father’s character.
Hidden Depths and Layers:
The verse suggests hidden knowledge—the Son knows the Father in a unique way. Similarly, photography often reveals hidden layers or depths within a subject.
Photographers explore light, shadows, and details, unveiling aspects that may remain unnoticed by casual observers.
Subjectivity and Perception:
No one fully knows the Son except the Father. Similarly, no two photographers perceive the same scene identically.
Photography is subjective; it reflects the photographer’s inner world and personal connection to the subject.
Artistic Expression:
Artistic photography transcends mere documentation. It conveys emotions, messages, and stories.
Just as the Son reveals the Father’s character, photographers reveal their unique artistic voice through their work.
The Unseen and the Revealed:
Photography often captures fleeting moments, revealing what might otherwise go unnoticed.
The verse’s theme of revelation aligns with photography’s ability to unveil beauty, truth, and hidden narratives.
In summary, while the verse primarily addresses spiritual matters, its themes of revelation, uniqueness, and interpretation resonate with the artistry and discipline of photography. Photographers, like the Son revealing the Father, use their lens to reveal the world in their own distinctive way.
You
could you think of an image that may express this understanding in a discrete way ?

Certainly! Let’s envision an evocative photograph that encapsulates the themes of revelation, uniqueness, and interpretation from the verse you mentioned.
📸 Title: “Veiled Illumination”
Description: In a dimly lit room, a solitary figure stands before an ancient, ornate mirror. The mirror’s surface is tarnished, etched with time’s passage. Its frame bears intricate carvings, hinting at forgotten stories. Dust motes dance in the slanting sunlight that filters through a nearby window.
Composition:
The Figure:
Cloaked in a flowing robe, the figure gazes intently at their reflection. Their face remains hidden, obscured by the hood.
The posture is reverent, hands gently touching the mirror’s surface as if seeking answers.
The Mirror:
The mirror itself is the centerpiece. Its glass holds secrets—the reflections of countless souls who stood before it.
Imperfections—tiny cracks and spots—add character. Each flaw whispers of hidden truths.
Light and Shadows:
The sunlight creates a halo around the figure, illuminating the mirror’s surface. It reveals intricate patterns etched into the glass.
Shadows cling to the edges, suggesting depths beyond what the eye can perceive.
Symbols and Layers:
Superimposed on the mirror’s reflection are faint images: celestial constellations, ancient manuscripts, and glimpses of distant landscapes.
Layers of meaning intertwine—the seen and the unseen, the revealed and the concealed.
Subtle Details:
A single tear rests on the mirror’s edge, refracting light. Is it a tear of longing or revelation?
Dust particles, suspended in the air, symbolize the passage of time and the accumulation of wisdom.
Message: “Veiled Illumination” invites viewers to contemplate what lies beyond the surface. Just as the Son reveals the Father, the figure seeks deeper understanding. The mirror reflects both the known and the mysterious—a metaphor for the artist’s lens capturing fleeting moments and hidden narratives.
Remember, this image is not just about what is seen; it’s about what remains hidden, waiting for revelation.

Jaguar

Jaguar (Panthera onca)
Tikal Temple I is the designation given to one of the major structures at Tikal, one of the largest cities and archaeological sites of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization in Mesoamerica. It is located in the Petén Basin region of northern Guatemala. It also is known as the Temple of the Great Jaguar because of a lintel that represents a king sitting upon a jaguar throne.[1] An alternative name is the Temple of Ah Cacao, after the ruler buried in the temple.[nb 1] Temple I is a typically Petén-styled limestone stepped pyramid structure that is dated to approximately 732 AD.

Temple of the Great Jaguar

"Now every wicked man is ignorant of what he ought to do and what he ought to abstain from, and it is by reason of error of this kind that men become unjust and in general bad; but the term 'involuntary' tends to be used not if a man is ignorant of what is to his advantage- for it is not mistaken purpose that causes involuntary action (it leads rather to wickedness), nor ignorance of the universal (for that men are blamed), but ignorance of particulars, i.e. of the circumstances of the action and the objects with which it is concerned. For it is on these that both pity and pardon depend, since the person who is ignorant of any of these acts involuntarily."~~~Aristotle: Nichomachean Ethics Bk.III

CH2 DEATH OF GREATNESS
ON JULY NINTH of the year 1489 according to the Christian calendar—a day noted as 11.13.8.15.6. in the much more accurate Maya rendering—on the remote island of Cozumel at the extreme western end of the Caribbean, the thirty-seven-year-old widow of the High Priest who served the local Temple of Fertility faced a grievous crisis.
She was Ix Zubin—the first name signifying female—and she was admirably qualified for what loomed ahead. She was robust in health, just under five feet tall, and built as if constructed of three sturdy globes: buttock, breast and dark round head. Her very black hair met her eyebrows in a straight bobbed line, creating the effect of a permanent scowl, except that her face could suddenly break into a generous, warm-hearted smile, as if some bit of fortunate news had made her feel good all over. But her sharp, penetrating eyes were dominant, darting here and there, demanding to know everything that happened about her, for she was a woman of unusual intellect.

El jaguar entre los mayas. Entidad oscura y ambivalente
