Principles of Interpretation“There are, indeed, difficulties in understanding the [precise and complete] meaning of the prophetic writings, but these are either owing to our ignorance of history and of the Scriptures, or because the prophecies are yet unfilled. The latter can only be understood when the events foretold in the prophecies have actually been accomplished.
