A modern interpretation of a bison from the Altamira cave ceiling, one of the cave's most famous paintings. Destaca y maravilla el «Bisonte Encogido», una de las pinturas más expresivas y admiradas de todo el conjunto. Está pintado sobre un abultamiento de la bóveda. El artista supo encajar en ese espacio la figura del bisonte, encogiéndolo, plegando sus patas y forzando la posición de la cabeza hacia abajo. Todo ello pone de manifiesto el espíritu de observación naturalista de su realizador y la enorme capacidad expresiva de la composición.
