The eyes and eyebrows formerly embedded with colored stones and the finely traced lips of his graceful portrait carved in obsidian have inspired much comment.
Among the many creations of King Amenophis III are the temples of Amun in Karnak and Luxor, the Colossi of Memnon, the Amenophium (since destroyed) and his vast tomb in the Valley of the Kings."~~~Henri Stierlin
